Programm and itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi - Masai Mara
(6 ½ hours’ drive)

Meet & Greet in the morning at Nairobi Airport and depart by road for Masai Mara through village roads and grandiose landscapes of the Rift Valley to the northern part of the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the way. Arrive and set up camp in the wild at a private camping site along Mara River, located in the Mara Triangle which is the most protected area of the park and receives few visitors. Depart in the afternoon for an exploration of the reserve. Return to the camp. The night falls, giving way to the sounds of the bush in the background.

Day 2, 3 & 4: Masai Mara

These days are devoted to the exploration of the Masai Mara, in search for the Great Migration and observation of animals. Wake up with your sights on the savanna, enjoy an English breakfast and depart following the winding course of the Mara River before the sun is too high. Enjoy a picnic lunch then change terrain in direction of the marshy plains of the south west bordered by Siria Escarpment following the large herbivore herds. Drive back to the wild camp on the banks of the Mara River, dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Masai Mara - Serengeti
(6 ½ hours’ drive)

Depart with a picnic lunch after breakfast for Sirare border town which is near the Lake Victoria, proceed with passport and immigration formalities and cross into Tanzania heading in the direction the vast plains of Serengeti National Park, the theater world’s largest herbivore migration. Arrive in the late afternoon at Serengeti National Park to set up a wild camp at a private camping site. If the time allows, embark on a game drive, in the vicinity in search of wildlife before sunset. Dinner and overnight spent in a tent.

Day 6 & 7: Serengeti

Depart for the day for an exploration of the park, the search for the Great Migration and observation of animals. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park. Drive back to the wild camp at sunset. Enjoy dinner around a campfire and spend the night in a tent.

Day 8: Serengeti - Ngorongoro Crater
(4 hours’ drive through the park)

Last morning game drive in search of animals and depart with a picnic lunch for Ngorongoro. Stop at the Olduvai Gorge prehistoric and archaeological site where the origins of man were nestled almost 3 million years ago. Arrive in the late afternoon and set up the wild camping on private camping site on rim crest of the Ngorongoro crater. The site superbly overlooks the 600 m deep caldera of over 18 km in diameter. Dinner and overnight in a tent at 2,600 metres altitude.

Day 9: Crater Ngorongoro

Depart after breakfast for a visit of the Ngorongoro crater where almost all the African wild species are gathered. The track descends to the floor of the crater. Embark on a game drive in search for mammals and the last black rhinoceros residing in the crater. Enjoy a picnic lunch and drive up to the rim in the afternoon by a steep trail. Return to the wild camping on the private site on the rim of Ngorongoro crater. Dinner and night spent in a tent.

Day 10: Ngorongoro - Tarangire (3 hours’ drive)

Drive down through a primary forest towards the Great Rift Valley all the way to Tarangire National Park. Arrive, set up a wild camp on a private site in the heart of the park and thereafter have lunch. Embark on a game drive by a 4x4 vehicle all the afternoon in search of wildlife. Return to the wild camp on a private site at sunset. Dinner and night spent in a tent.

Day 11: Tarangire

This day is dedicated to the exploration of the park and the observation of animals. Tarangire is a land par excellence of elephants and baobabs who live here in perfect symbiosis. The landscapes of the park are of rare and wild beauty. At sunset, return to the wild camp on the private site. Dinner and overnight spent in a tent.

Day 12: Tarangire - Arusha - Airport Kilimanjaro

Last morning in the park and depart for Arusha. Late afternoon transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for return flight.
